Can it really be the last day of summer? Impromptu lunch at our favourite beach restaurant on this warm beautiful day of 24 degrees with clear blue skies and a shimmering sea. The off-shore swimming/diving platforms are being towed away for winter storage but some swimmers delight in the warm smooth water and several sunbathers take advantage of the lovely temperature and low breeze.
There are many footprints in the sand but most are from the birds!
They say that the weather doesn’t matter – but it does! Come visit us soon.
The financial storms plaguing the rest of the world seem also to have bypassed the French Riviera ……. at least for now. Many economists believe that the banking system in France has been more prudent than in other countries – more on this in a later blog.
