Not anything like as cold as northern Europe, but certainly very cold for us here – with the temperature close to zero. By the sea it is about 3 degrees warmer and as near as Mougins there is thick snow. So far we haven’t had any snow but the view across the sea to the snow-capped Esterel is extremely beautiful.

The beach and sea are full of seagulls – I suppose they love this weather!

Down here in Cannes it is surprisingly warm in the sun – but very very cold out of the sun. The beach restaurants below us are full of people enjoying their Cannes lunch in the sunshine – it is wonderfully exhilarating to be living here.
