New law effective from 1st July 2012 – every motorist and motorcyclist on the roads in France MUST be carrying a breath-test kit. This applies to both residents and visitors. So buy your breath-test kit now – available in France from 1.50 – 6 euros but might be more expensive if bought before you leave your home country.
This is just one of the measures introduced in France as part of the hard-hitting road safety legislation – so we are happy that we will all hopefully be safer from now on.
